If I feel an emotion has come up in me I use it. First by describing the emotion, why I think it came up, and then I begin writing. I know the emotion came from some personal interaction, therefore I have content to work with. I have an emotion, and an experience, then I decide with what the moral of my own story will be, so I can conclude the article, chapter, poem.
